  • Owaken Breathwork- Introduction On a serious breathwork kick these days. I love Owaken’s trauma-informed approach to this practice. This is a great and easy beginner practice to introduce into your weekly maintenance routine.

  • Trauma-Informed Yoga: Hips My body is feeling old. My hips, in particular, need a little more TLC these days. Trying to do this video when I remember to!

  • MUNA: Tiny Desk Concert is a mesmerizing blend of ethereal vocals and electronic pop, showcasing the band's undeniable talent and captivating stage presence in this familiar and intimate setting. Their stripped-down performance delivers a poignant and emotional moment in time that leaves listeners yearning for more of their love, attention, and connection.

  • Period Drama This animated short feature is set in the 1800s where a young girl gets her period for the first time. She, of course, has no idea what is happening to her body and believes that she is dying. Classic ‘lets not let them know the brilliance of their own body’ mentality.

  • The Finnish Secret To Happiness by Penelope Colston Finland's unique approach to well-being, emphasizing the significance of social connections, nature, and a balanced lifestyle. An emphasis on balance within culture is possible.

  • Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld is a delightful rollercoaster of emotions, blending humor and heart with seamless finesse. Sittenfeld's witty storytelling and relatable characters make this a standout in the genre, leaving readers eagerly anticipating his next literary endeavor.

  • Women Without Kids by Ruby Warrington: This book digs into the stereotypes and misconceptions surrounding the childless-by-choice. I love this exploration; she works through explaining the damage of the deeply entrenched binary notion that mother equals goodness and servitude and non-mothers are synonymous with bad and selfish.

  • The Very Irregular Society of WItches by Sungu Mandanna weaves a bewitching tale of enchantment and sisterhood, transporting readers to a world where magic and mystery collide with heartwarming friendships. Mandanna's lyrical prose and vivid characters create a spellbinding narrative that leaves an indelible mark long after the final page is turned.

  • What Adults Forget About Friendship by Rhaina Cohen offers a thought-provoking exploration of the dynamics of adult friendships and the societal pressures that often overshadow them. Cohen's insightful analysis prompts readers to reevaluate their priorities and rekindle the value of these essential relationships in their lives.

  • The Retrievals This podcast cut deep; I have experienced being a woman not believed for her pain. At a Yale fertility clinic, dozens of women began their I.V.F. cycles full of expectation and hope. Then a surgical procedure caused them excruciating pain. In the hours that followed, some of the women called the clinic to report their pain — but most of the staff members who fielded the patients’ reports did not know the real reason for the pain, which was that a nurse at the clinic was stealing fentanyl and replacing it with saline.

  • Grown: Crushed: heartbreak, first kisses, and catching feelings This podcast is sponsored by The Moth and it recounts the experiences of being a teenager. I love the nostalgia and the universality. This one in particular is poignant and painful and so real.

  • Omega 2023 Playlist by Moun D’Simone My teacher created this wonderful playlist for practice; movement, breathing, sitting, and dancing. It’s kind of perfect.

  • Breathwork for Healing & Transformation with Bree Melanson I am certain that breath work is magic. This particular practice is easy enough and only requires 20 minutes of your time. I try this first before I go to my usual numbing patterns.
