Watch to nurture…….

  • dodie: Tiny Desk Concert I would have listened to dodie in high school. She sings with the whimsical nostalgia of the manic pixie dream girl era, slanted and rearranged by her queer-friendly genX twist.

  • Abstract: The Art of Design, Es Devlin I recently assigned this for homework for a tech theatre class that I am not actually qualified to teach. It’s amazing. What a wonderful foray into process and making for the sake of making. If any of my students actually watch this, I am certain that they will think about space differently.

  • Mission Joy: Finding Happiness in Troubled Times The Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu sit down and talk about the importance of joy in a meaningful life. Even the greatest spiritual leaders on our planet recognize the importance of play! Its a breath of fresh air. I giggled like a five year old. I shed some tears. I engaged with their heartbreaking stories. I soaked in all of their wisdom. It’s a whole bundle of feelings.

  • @farahmsiddiq Astrologer, energy practitioner, and disruptor of wellness spaces.

  • @thelymphaticmessage Why are the lymph nodes so darn important? How do we take care of these guys? This is your go-to spot for lymph education!

  • @torah.tarot jewish mysticism and tarot interpretations. Absolutely livinggggg for this combo.

  • @virginiarosenberg intuitive astrologer, steward of the earth, spiritual guide.

  • You Need Help: You Fat-Shamed Your Beautiful Girlfriend by Heather Hogan This. This right here. Fatphobia has been on my mind of late and this article fell into my lap. I think I needed to hear this advice just as much as the person who wrote it. What a beautiful reminder that we are swimming in the soup of fatphobia but we get the option to hop out of the pool at some point.

  • There is no Judeo-Christianity Jewitches I’ve used the blanket term “Judeo-Christian” on more occasions than I can count and not once did I ever give pause to that label. Not once. This piece of writing asked me to look at what I have just accepted as fact and see it for what it is; erasure.

  • Yes, Your Job Is Important. But It's Not All-Important by Roxanne Gay Hi. Yes. This. EVERYDAY. While we have to make money to survive capitalism, our jobs have been given so much space and time and urgency and importance, and what if they aren't all that and a bag of chips?

  • Galatea: A Short Story by Madeline Miller I feel like I know Madeline Miller at this point. To be clear, I don’t. Again, with this short story, she takes a classic greek myth and shifts it so that we see it through the feminine lens. What would happen if we shifted more of our stories and histories and knowings this way?

  • We Can Do Hard Things: What if we loved our bodies? As per usual, this one got me. With Glennon’s recent announcement that she has been diagnosed with anorexia, the dream team took the time to interview Sonya Renee Taylor about bodies. The wisdom. The joy. The questioning of it all. Worth a repeated spot on your podcast queue.

  • How To Discern Which Spiritual Practices Are Right For You There is a buffet of options out there when it comes to spirituality. Especially given the rise of spiritual commodification and the popularity of witchtok. While this is great in many respects- i.e. access and opportunity, it can all feel so overwhelming. I have to take cold plunges and meditate for 16 hours and sit with 85 different mantras? Not quite. This podcast does a good job of breaking down how to listen to your intuition and find the practices that are right for you.

  • Pretty Spiritual Podcast: Allowing Feelings and Emotions Hi we are humans with feelings. These feelings have physical consequences. The more we process and allow our feelings to feel their way through our bodies, instead of surpressing and numbing, the more they loosen their control over us. Just a human conversation about feeling the feels. I always appreciate when folks are brave enough to share their stories.

  • Turn to Nature Apothecary This is a local herb apothecary to me on the jersey shore and it is every bit as magical as one could imagine a seaside herbal shop to be. The tea blends are beautiful and fragrant, the hair oil is lush and can even tame my mane, and the tinctures range from hormonal balancing to sleep-inducing.
